Abstract

Ethnobotany on Plant Genetic Resources conservation and use (hereinafter referred to as PGRCU) refers to the specific conservation and use way of botany to meet needs of distinguished ethnic groups. This will be a basis for management and future use of plant genetic resources in Vietnam, a country of various crop species and their use. However, globalization process is an indispensable trend of history that also creates the great challenges to ethnobotany on PGRCU in Vietnam. Reasonably, the formed and developed features are contrary to each other. Thus analyzing features of relationship between ethnobotany and globalization will help ethnobotanist, scientists, conservationists, managers and policy makers see clearly challenges and opportunities of ethnobotany on PGRCU under globalization to deliver recommendations and finds of policy implications
